I knew as soon as I met Bryanna and Dustin at their complimentary engagement session they would have a fun wedding. Not only had these two been dating a while, but they were full of laughter and funny stories.
They had this twisted, "Friends"-like group who had dated one another and knew all of their fun secrets. At the wedding, the maid of honor, and also sister-in-law, aired winding and twisting story to how they all fit together. It was adorable.
One of the things I love most about weddings is listening to the toasts. Dad always makes a dad joke, and cries, the maid of honor usually cries too, the best man, well, they are there for the laughs. If I didn't get a sense of who the couple from engagement photos, my wedding couples are like family by the end of the night.
Bryanna and Dustin wanted a traditional ceremony at their church in Freedom Wisconsin, followed by a bus ride (and stop in downtown Appleton for drinks) to their barn reception at Willow Pond. It's the coolest location for a laid back wedding!
After the wedding, Bryanna and Dustin said the thing they loved most was all of the ways we were able to make the day special. We coordinated a secret spot for them to not see each other before the wedding, but be able to read one another's notes, and grab one another's hand. The photos reflected these special moments too.
Harry Potter lovers, I was surprised to see an Always tattoo on Bryanna's shoulder during the engagement photos. I retained this bit of information, and for their wedding, brought the Harry Potter book along to include photos with their rings and the important "Always" and wedding chapter of the book. It was a sweet surprise they didn't know about until they got their wedding photos returned.
